Struggling for success
Time and tides wait for no man. Three years just slipped away for my girl to be in a far away foreign land. Every friend says time is so fast but to be the investor in her education directly, we were not really feeling that way. We feel it is very slow and to her, I think she also feels the same. Only three years!! Another four more years to go!!!!
Two days ago, she has ultimately completed her second year med. Within this period of time, she has really struggled for her study. She has 3 papers to sit for for this final exam, i.e. biochemistry, physiology and philosophy. She has told me that it is just impossible to get 5 in biochemistry. The friend who is better than her could only get 4 last semester. I told her that no matter how hard, as long as we try our best and we don't feel sorry and regret after the exam, that is enough. Physiology is also quite hard according to her. She mentioned many times whether she would be still alive after last monday as the paper fell on last monday. Philosophy is the paper that she got for automat, meaning that she had done well in her ordinary quizzes and tests and whatever forms of assessments. She didn't need to sit for the finals and instead she was required to do a 25-page asignment on the topic "Hospice".
She won't send me sms if it is not an urgent matter. Five days ago, she sent me an sms telling me that result for biochemistry is just released and it is a 5!!! Girl, well done..........
And two days ago, I was online and saw her in msn. Her physiology is another 5!!!! I think she was so astonished and told me that she almost fainted when she received her result. It means that her overall result for this year for the two semesters are all 5s again!! Good girl, keep it up! Well, when we aim for excellence, there is definitely tension. Without tension, there is no excellence!!! I do believe in hard work. Consistent hard work is the decisive factor and of course, sometimes luck is along but luck is not all the time with us!!!
Even though her holiday started today, she can't come back as there is no ticket. The whole group of friends can only come back 10 days later.

Astonishingly, my girl's perseverance in obtaining an earlier ticket back to homeland bears fruits. She is lucky to grab the last ticket of the flight and manage to get it confirmed. She will be flying tomorrow heading straight back to Sibu. Thanks God!
2 months at home for her summer holiday. Relax and charge up with energy before she heads for another tough year ahead.
