Dad has left for KL

It is exactly a year since Dad has his fatal operation. It was a miracle when Dad could tolerate the chemotherapy very well. He looked perfectly ok during the process with his health secured snd his hair intact. There is no sign of hair drop and wonderfully, he still has his original black hair at the age of mid- seventies!!
The last appointment with the oncologist was in Dec 2009. All of us were told and informed that the fatal growth could not be removed totally as it is a Duke C tumour. We have only two choice on either we let him go for second cycle of chemotherapy or we let him enjoy the quality in life. After all, it doesn't make a lot of difference in the length of prolonged life. Going for second chemotherapy means a lot sufferings due to discomfort, loss of weight, no appetite and vomitting.......... Worse still, there is a possibility of earlier termination. There are suicidal cases before the cycle ends as suicide is a better solution than to suffer the sufferings caused by the doses of oxalyplatin. There are also cases of being called back to Heaven earlier because the body cannot stand and tolerate against the strong medication. In return, maybe he will live a little longer. By seeing him in good form at that time, the oncologist gave advice on such cases from her past experience. With his consent, we felt that it is better to let him rest and to use tradtional medicine as a substitue to, hopefully, cure him.
He was fine for the past half a year. Thanks God for taking care of him. He quitted his job upon our advice and he is happily reading novels to pass his time. Life is peaceful for him. I am thinking if he can lead this type of life since 10 years ago, he won't fall sick now. He was on tradional medicine since 2 months ago when my hubby was introduced to that plant(don't know the name). He said that he felt much more comfortable since he started drinking it. One thing which Dad can't control is food. He doesn't want to listen to us to control strictly on food. Instead he argured that he is just taking a little and it should not do any harm to him. Sigh!
It is this followed-up appointment on 8/6/2010 which triggered him to fly with my mum to KL yesterday. He is so much free of any burden after he quitted his job at the hotel. Putting on weight, and looking more cheerful, he should be able to live a lot more years.I pray that everything will be fine for Dad.
