Language pollution

Since I started to be among chatters on msn with my daughhter and son, I started to use all sorts of online languages which have direct impact on my proper language. I should say chatting has done me no good at all. I am losing my language command at the expense of chatting.
I have to be alert to use proper phrase and structure on paper otherwise I am going to waste all my effort in the past which has built up my strong basic in the language.
